Social Program In parallel with the Technical and Scientific Program, a full range of social activities will be offered to Delegates and Accompanying Persons during all days of the Conference. Most of these will be organised by a competent local travel agency to be associated with the ICEM15 conference: Early-bird Reception The Conference Secretariat will be open on Sunday 22nd July, from 15:00 to 18:30, for registration and delivery of documentation to delegates. During this period, an Early-Bird Reception with drinks and refreshments will be offered to all registered delegates and their companions in the lobby of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto. Welcome Reception and Banquet
A Welcome Reception by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering University of Porto will take place on Monday 23rd July. This will occur in the gardens of FEUP, after the afternoon sessions. The conference banquet will take place on Thursday 25 July 2012 - 7:30 p.m.at Mosteiro S. Bento da Vitória,Rua de S. Bento da Vitória, Porto. It includes a Porto d’honnour in the cloisters of the mosteiro, followed by a fantastic dinner with live music. Transportation will be available from the conference location at 7:00 p.m. All delegates and registered accompanying Persons are entitled to participate in both the Welcome Reception and in the Conference Banquet. Bus transportation will be provided by the organisation to take delegates and accompanying persons back to the different hotels in the city.
Excursions and Cultural Events A number of excursions, tours and cultural events will be available for participants and accompanying persons. All delegates and registered accompanying Persons are entitled to participate in one of the official events: either in the full-day River Douro cruise (limited to the first registered 250 participants) or in the full-day excursion to Minho region and city of Guimarães.
