  The George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech is now accepting applications and nominations for appointment to the Agustin A. Ramirez/HUSCO International Distinguished Chair.  We seek a nationally and internationally recognized expert in the engineering science and technology of fluid power or dynamics and controls.  The person appointed to this position is expected to lead a highly visible research program with significant scholarly and educational achievements and to develop a multidisciplinary, world-class academic program in fluid power systems or motion control.  Candidates should have a doctoral degree in a relevant field of engineering and a record that demonstrates outstanding accomplishments in research and teaching.  
  
  Georgia Tech is a state institution dedicated to both teaching and research.  The College of Engineering enrolls over 8,076 undergraduate students and 3,835 graduate students.  The Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering includes approximately 2,000 undergraduate students, 850 graduate students, and has a faculty of 85 persons.  The Woodruff School is responsible for degree programs in mechanical engineering, nuclear and radiological engineering, and health physics.
