Machine Elements I (Orgãos de Máquinas I)
Gears. Fatigue design and stress concentration. Cylindrical elements, Lamé’s equations. Rotating discs. Flywheels. Curved beams. Objectives The course is an introduction to machine design through the analysis of commonly used machine elements. Students apply knowledge obtained in other courses, such as Mechanics of Solids and Mechanics of Structures, and complement that knowledge with applications found in components of machines. |
