EM 446 - Machine Design (Anteprojecto de Máquinas)
Project work concerning a machine or a part of a machine, and including the phases of problem formulation, evaluation of alternatives, detailed calculation of certain mechanical components and specification of others. A complete technical drawing and a report are prepared by the student. Objectives Students work either individually or in groups of two, in the design of a machine or of a part of a machine, and experience the need for decision-making concerning alternatives in open-end situations. Knowledge obtained in other courses is integrated in the exercise. |
