EM 501 - Complements of Statistics (Complementos de Estatística) Introduction to inference. Specification of confidence intervals. The procedure for hypotheses testing. Nonparametric tests. One-way analysis of variance and two-way analysis of variance. Simple linear regression, multiple linear regression and non-linear regression. Objectives The goal of this course is to enable the students to pursue the acquisition of an integrated vision of the practice of statistics. The concepts are given trough examples that illustrate practical problems. In the end, students are expected to become able to apply the methods for statistical analysis in the preparing of decisions. |
