EM 631 - Final Project (Projecto de Fim de Curso) 1st Semester: Development of full projects for injection moulds, covering, among others, the following topics: three-dimensional modelling of the final part using a CAD system; dimensioning of the functional systems of the mould (feed, cooling and extracting); analysis of the material flux during the injection phase, with optimisation of the feed point locations. 2nd Semester: Completing an industrial final project, integrated in a stage held inside companies specialized in the production or utilization of injection moulds. Objectives Application of acquired knowledge in the area of mould project and injected parts manufacturing, involving a strong component of personal responsibility of the student. Promotion of the direct contact with industrial units specialized in these fields. |
