VOCE shall develop methods and
algorithms that
enable the online classification of stress
from live speech
with the goal of providing feedback cues
to the speaker
in real-time to improve his communication
skills. The
work will focus on detecting and
classifying stress in
speech by leveraging advanced signal
processing and
machine learning techniques, complemented
with psychological analysis of different
aspects of stress perception.
Working on the design of a wireless ad-hoc network
for gathering vital signs and other information from
a firemen team while fighting forest fires. Also
working on the implementation of a prototype using
Android mobile phones for collecting and forwarding
the data.
Working on the design of an infra-structure to
collect massive amounts of data from people and
vehicles in an urban area. Also working on using
that data to provide useful information to the
inhabitants of the city and creating opportunities
to improve their mobility footprint.
Massive Urban Data Gathering using Vehicle to
Vehicle Communication is also a topic of interest,
which I am working on with a graduate student.
Working on better understanding how the wireless
channel works in vehicular networks, and how it can
be simulated
"
Architectural
and Networking Aspects of Sensing Applications on
Vehicular Networks " is the title of
the work of Mohammad Nozari, a MAP-Tele graduate student
under my supervision
