VORSat is a newly born project regarding the development of a CubeSat at the University of Porto. The purpose of this project is to prove the feasibility of measuring the satellite attitude from ground based on a set of RF signals transmitted from orbit.
The idea is to combine multiple signals and antennas in such a way that certain modulated information depends on the direction from which the signals are received. This information is encoded in the form of signal phases, allowing determination of the satellite attitude with one degree of expected accuracy.
We expect to publish all our future goals and developments regarding the VORSat project at this website. Soon, we will be publishing more features, including a way for everyone share and submit their own ideas for our project. Keep in touch!
Best Regards,
the VORSat Team
