The University of Sheffield and Sheffield City Region partners are hosting the 8th international BIN@ event in Sheffield on October 30th, 31st & November 1st 2017.

You can download a copy of the conference programme here.

BIN@ is an informal international network of partners from across industry, academia, investment, incubation, business development and economic development agencies supporting the sharing of good practice and knowledge and promoting open innovation.

Our network helps to connect partners from across disciplines and industry sectors to create opportunities for collaboration and cooperation, supporting partnerships that can deliver value and impact.

The main theme for this year will focus on how new technologies and processes, and in particular “digitalisation” will impact our lives and business across the following areas:

1.       Industrial digitalisation (day 1) – Exploring the challenges and opportunities that digital technology and automation present for the manufacturing industry and how businesses can become more productive and competitive by harnessing these new skills.

2.       Health and wellbeing (day 2)– Exploring how digitalisation of services and innovative technologies have the potential to transform the future of health and social care, overcoming growing barriers such as ageing populations, budget restraints and challenges of modern life.

3.       Smart cities & mobility (day 2)– Exploring smarter and more sustainable urban infrastructure and services to accommodate the growing population that live and work in cities.
