The University of Sheffield hosted the 5th international BIN@ conference at the Showroom Workstation in Sheffield from 10-12 November 2014.

The objective of Business Innovation Network (BIN@) has always been to create a trusted and open forum for sharing best practices in innovation and to promote and support the collaboration between academia and industry. In addition to BIN@ business partners can already be found in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Santiago, Kobe, Kyoto, Riyadh and Toronto, as well across the USA and Europe.

Against this background, the BIN@SHEFFIELD 2014 event capitalised on all these aforementioned qualities and included various actions (Open Sessions, Action Tanks, Business Workshop, Technologies Showroom, Social Programme & Networking and Complementary Events), whilst the topics of sessions ranged from smart logistics, low carbon vehicles to rail innovations, if just to name a few.

As a follow up to BIN@ event, University of Sheffield continued on the wave of collaborative and innovative events, and on 13 November 2017 the University of Sheffield hosted DEEP IMPACT III – “innovation rebooted”, the UK’s 3rd Annual Crowd Funding Conference.
