One of the highlights of the third edition of BIN@ event was the inauguration of UPTEC’s Innovation Center (a venue offering a space of operation for innovation centers of national and international companies positioned towards the market oriented production of technologies). It is also noteworthy that aside from the BIN@PORTO delegates, the inauguration was attended by the representatives of the Government, the universities and also the companies that would have R&D centers in their new infrastructures.

Besides the core activities like Open Sessions, Action Tanks, Technology Showroom and Business Workshop (including presentations, B2B meetings and Institutional Showcase), the BIN@PORTO programme also included two further complementary events. The first one was “Health Tech International Meeting @ UPorto” promoted by the University of Porto Innovation (UPIN) which proposed a set of A2B sessions focused on partnering for innovation. During the second complementary event “ICT CHALLENGE” (promoted by Portic and supported by AIESEC), the groups of participants were challenged to develop a tactical/short plan for the internationalisation of a product using their own means/contact networks to look for information.
