The symposium on “Engineering Physics” will be held in the scope of the 5th Doctoral Congress  Engineering (DCE23) which will be hosted at FEUP, Porto, Portugal on the 15th and 16th of June 2023 (on-site).

The Symposium is open to communications (oral and poster) by MSc and PhD students on any topic of Physics Engineering/Applied and Technical Physics (topics below). Communications addressing published patents are welcome.

The Doctoral Symposium on Engineering Physics stems from the Doctoral Programme in Engineering Physics, a joint programme of FEUP and FCUP.

Deadline: 31st March 2023 NEW DEADLINE (EXTENSION): 14TH APRIL

Abstracts up to 1 A4 page will be automatically considered for poster.

Extended abstracts (maximum length of 3 A4 pages) will be reviewed and, based on the marks of the reviewers, will be assigned either for oral or poster presentation.

 

Registration (Payment)

Registration is mandatory for all participants (PhD candidates, master students, professors, researchers, etc)

All PRODEF students (authors of submitted abstracts) and MEF students (authors) who wish to register in DCE23’s Symposium in Physics Engineering will have their registration costs covered (after registration, please wait for the confirmation email).

All others (students/candidates, researchers and professors) – from FEUP or other institutions – that wish to register in the Symposium on Physics Engineering may have their registrations sponsored, upon acceptance by the organizing committee (please contact: cristinacunha350@gmail.com)

At least one author of each accepted and revised abstract must be registered in the event, with an accepted registration, for the abstracts’ reference to appear in the Book of Abstracts and/or Proceedings.
