Hardware

To perform the experiments an AVL fuel cell Testbench was used. All the components were elaborated and partly constructed in the AVL fuel cell laboratory. The test bench is prepared to deliver all the necessary media, and to measure all the required and important parameters for this work.

Software

For the calculations of the reaction equations, enthalpies, stoichiometry’s and other important parameters (temperature, pressure, mass flow etc.) Matlab/Simulink was used. The required parts were designed in PTC Creo Elements/Pro 2.0. For the fluid dynamic analysis the internal software of AVL called AVL Fire was used for the pre- and post-processing and the equation solving.
