After delivering the final report of the first semester, I took this week to move into the new lab where I’ll be working, I224. Since I’m still waiting on my workstation to finish running some disk health tests, I got started on this website. I decided to use Jekyll to build static pages, and as usual I’m versioning everything with git. I will probably change the theme to something nicer as soon as time permits.

I’ve been researching FSK receiver topologies, and I’ve come across an interesting method using short time DFTs (see Hara et al. and Grayver and Daneshrad), which was originally conceived for LEO satellites but seems to hold some promise for underwater communication. I will look into this further over the next week.
