Objectives

Following the success of the 1st International Conference on Experimental Vibration Analysis for Civil Engineering Structures (EVACES'05), October 26-28, 2005, at Bordeaux (France), promoted by Laboratoire Central des Ponts et Chaussées (LCPC), LCPC and FEUP, have decided to announce the organization of a second edition of the conference, that will be held at the Campus of FEUP from October 24-26, 2007.
Vibration based structural assessment, monitoring and control of Civil Engineering structures is a field of increasing importance and popularity for researchers, designers and construction companies, as consequence both of significant technological improvement of measurement equipments and theoretical formulations and of the extreme importance that society gives nowadays to the structural safety and serviceability conditions and durability of large structures, since construction to rehabilitation.
In this context, the aim of this second edition of EVACES is to provide and strengthen a forum for practitioners and researchers from all around the world to exchange and share views and experiences related to the measurement, the data processing and the use of experimental vibration analysis for civil engineering structures.

Who should attend?

The conference is intended for structural engineers, researchers and associated professionals interested in the latest achievements and developments in research, instrumentation, monitoring, signal processing, structural integrity and vibration mitigation.
