The Ubiquitous e-Government (UQ-GOV) project intends to address the new challenges of e-government solutions, building an integrated ubiquitous solution composed by mobile and web applications developed in a user-centered approach, which entails principles of usability, accessibility, participatory design and user development. The research in this project will be geared towards defining novel Ubiquitous Government Development Models (UGDM) based in a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) for facilitating the adoption of e-government solutions and for promoting and increasing the digital inclusion of societies. A prototype of a ubiquitous e-government solution will be developed and deployed in local/national government agencies (e.g. town councils, Portuguese technological plan, etc.) for validation of the research outcomes. The project has research partnerships between several renowned international universities and research centers.
