Teaching and Learning Laboratory

The Teaching and Learning Laboratory (LEA) promotes, supports, implements and disseminates pedagogical initiatives (events, courses, seminars, activities, studies and projects, scientific publications, etc.) at FEUP/with FEUPs staff, that contributes to:
• the creation of a ‘quality of teaching’ culture, essential for FEUP’s competitiveness, promoting the academics’ staff professional development in their pedagogical aspect and the dissemination of good pedagogical practices, assuming it is as a window for the quality of teaching / learning in Engineering at FEUP;
• reducing students’ academic failure, promoting students transversal skills and increasing the quality of their educational experience at FEUP.
In this scope, here are some of LEA’s initiatives for students and researchers:
• DCE – Doctoral Congress in Engineering (you can participate in the Central Organizing Committee, in your Doctoral Programs’ Organizing Committee, as an author submitting a poster/oral communication or just an attendee to get to know research projects and network with other PhD candidates)

• CTE – Transferable Skills Courses (such as ‘Time management’; ‘Presentation Techniques’; ‘Scientific Writing’, etc. You can choose to attend any of the 11 courses available at FEUP. You can credit them in your study plan or attend them extracurricularly).
