Access to health is an indispensable condition for the integration of migrants. Any citizen has the right to health and the duty to protect it. If you are sick, or need any kind of healthcare, you have the right to be assisted at a Health Center or Hospital (in an emergency).
These services cannot refuse to assist you on the basis of any reasons related to nationality, lack of economic means, or otherwise.

Curiosities:

The good weather, the sun, the green spaces, the clean air, the clear waters, the algae with therapeutic properties and one of the best European health systems are just some of the reasons that make Porto a destination of excellence when it comes to health and well-being.

Have you heard of the health benefits of iodine? Well, with about 3km of coastline, Porto has iodine to give and sell! Our organism is unable to produce it and its lack causes innumerable damage to health, disrupts functions in weight and even in the functioning of the digestive system.

You also have Parque da Cidade, the largest urban park in the country, with an area of 83 hectares that extends to the Atlantic Ocean, a rare feature worldwide. In 2000, it was selected by the Ordem dos Engenheiros, as one of the “100 most notable works built in the 20th century in Portugal”. Put on some sneakers, rent a bike, and enjoy everything the city has for you. For your health.
