This report registers the training made at ParadigmaXis, S.A. company for the Estágio Curricular course of Licenciatura em Engenharia Informática e Computação. The project subject is "Sistema de Apoio µa Execução, Auditoria e Decisão do Projecto Porto Digital" and as the subject indicates, this training is included in the Porto Digital project.

The Porto Digital project is the result of Porto city candidature to the governmental project Portugal Digital and its purpose is to promote the development and use of Informatics and Communications at Porto. As a Portugal Digital project, the Porto Digital project will have a subsidization of 75% of all expenditures presented by a project partner. 50% of the expenditures will be paid by ERDF1 and 25% paid by Portuguese Government, both through POS C2. However, all the process of presentation, confirmation and payment of the request of the subsidization has been really slow in other Portugal Digital projects. It has been verified that this delay creates financial problems to project partners. If this fact happens in Porto Digital project, it will compromise the achievement of the ambitious goal de¯ned.

Until now, the refunding request process was done by exchanging Excel sheets through e-mail accounts. These Excel sheets had a lot of mistakes. To improve the performance it has been proposed a system that could decrease the error tax and the numbers of iterations until the approbation of the refunding request process.

C++ was chosen as development language for technologic base. XML was chosen to data base support and the library Qt to develop the graphic interface design of the application. For the development of the application it was used the QtDesigner tool. This tool was disposed by Trolltech. Due to the utilization of XML and to its readable character, it was used the Blowfish algorithm for the encriptation of the data made persistent in the file system. Otherwise any user could change the information of the files.

Due to the delay of the Porto Digital process starting, the implementation is a little bit delayed. Nevertheless, it is now a guaranty that technologies and design decision were correct and fit with the problem presented. Now, it is necessary to improve a few more features and finish the security mechanisms.

In spite of all natural di±culties with the first contact with labour market, the contact with a professional experience and the knowledge acquired made this experience an important complement to the training received at Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto.
