The research topics can be divided into the following key research lines:
- Improvement of conventional force-based seismic design procedures for conventional and innovative dual systems (steel/steel and steel/concrete).
- Development of new generation displacement-based seismic design methodologies for steel and composite structures.
- Improvement of numerical modelling and analysis procedures used in seismic performance assessment.
- Retrofitting of RC structures with steel elements.
In addition to the topics listed above the group is actively involved in the development of new web-based applications to aid researchers and practicioners on their daily routines.
