BERD researches, develops and applies state-of-the-art solutions to bridge construction methods. Founded in 2006, BERD explores the potential of OPS (Organic Prestressing System) and has a professional multi-disciplinary research & development team.
BERD’s Movable Scaffolding Systems (cast in situ) and Launching Gantries (for precast segments) with OPS are used in the construction of concrete bridges with deck lengths varying from 20 to 120 meters.

Parametric graphical modelling allows quick preliminary design as well as comfortable structural optimization. Dedicated modules for construction stage analysis, cable-force optimization and live-load enveloping support the bridge engineer. Advanced features such as geometric and material nonlinear analysis as well as dynamics foster the applicability for pedestrian and integral bridges. The interface for Rhinoceros® strengthens the modelling options for iconic and signature bridges with complex geometry.
