Caros Membros da Comunidade FEUP,
Nesta altura do Natal refletimos habitualmente sobre aquilo que tem mais importância, de acordo com as nossas crenças e culturas, em contextos familiares e sociais diversos. Cada um de nós procura perspetivar o tempo que vivemos e frequentemente fazer planos e colocar objetivos para o futuro.
Gostaria de partilhar a minha convicção que também depende de nós procurarmos viver um período de Festas Felizes, mesmo num contexto global e familiar que possa não ser aquele que mais desejamos. Temos de acreditar, e sobretudo temos de agir para que este período de Natal e o ano de 2021 sejam melhores do que alguns períodos de 2020 ou até de outros anos passados.
A FEUP irá manter com alguma criatividade momentos festivos de Natal. Assim, durante o mês de dezembro, e em especial no dia 21, a pensar em todos nós e em especial nos nossos familiares mais pequeninos, teremos algumas surpresas que servem o propósito de trazer um sorriso adicional a todos eles e às mães, pais, avós e restantes familiares ou amigos que acompanham o seu crescimento. Espero que muitos deles possam vir algum dia a estudar ou trabalhar numa FEUP ou U.Porto ainda melhores!

Dear Members of the FEUP Community,
At this time of Christmas we usually reflect on what is most important, according to our beliefs and cultures, in different family and social contexts. Each one of us tries to have a perspective of the time we live in, and we often make plans and set goals for the future.
I would like to share my conviction that it also depends on us living for Happy Holidays period, even in a global and family context that may not be the one we would mostly desire. We must believe, and above all we must act so that this Christmas and the year 2021 are better than some periods in 2020 or even in other past years.
FEUP will maintain the festive moments of Christmas with some creativity. So, in December, especially on the 21st, thinking about all of us, and especially about our little one relatives, we will have some surprises that serve the purpose of bringing an additional smile to all of them and to their mothers, fathers, grandparents and other relatives or friends that accompany their growth. I hope that many of them will someday come to study or work at an even better FEUP or U.Porto!
