Task A.2

Accurate harmonic analysis and modeling of natural voiced sounds

This task aims at creating an analysis and synthesis framework permitting full flexibility in controlling the frequency, magnitude and phase parameters of the harmonic structure that characterize voiced signals, as well as their evolution over time.

The major outcomes in this task include harmonic analysis and synthesis algorithms, harmonic parametric models, and research results establishing correspondences between signal features and perceptual auditory sensations especially related to idiosyncratic factors. It is expected that this task will produce one report, one journal paper and one MSc dissertations in the area of engineering.

Milestones

M3_a: Harmonic parametric models and idiosyncratic features.

Other expected outcomes include a task report, one journal paper and an MSc dissertation.
