The Third International Workshop on Information Theory for Sensor Networks (WITS 2009) will be held on June 10, 2009, in conjunction with the IEEE International Conference on Distributed Computing in Sensor Systems (DCOSS 2009) in Marina Del Rey, California.

The Program is now available here.

João Barros, School of Engineering, University of Porto
S. Sandeep Pradhan, Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, University of Michigan at Ann Arbor

Invited contributions will take a look into recent information-theoretic results on the fundamental limits of sensor networks and then proceed to explore the engineering implications of the foundational research. Contributed papers are solicited in (but not limited to) the following areas:

Contributions by authors new to the information theory community are particularly encouraged.

Authors are invited to submit original unpublished manuscripts that demonstrate current research on information theory for sensor networks.

Submissions will be judged on correctness, originality, technical strength, significance, quality of presentation, and interest and relevance to the workshop attendees. Submitted papers may not have appeared in or be under consideration for another conference or a journal. All manuscripts will be reviewed.

Camera ready papers must be prepared using the IEEE-Transactions style available here, formatted for A4 paper (using the a4paper option), using 10 point fonts, without page numbers.

A PDF file of the paper should be submitted electronically to
