NOVEMBER 11

14h00 - 15h00 - Funding Innovation

Speaker: Miguel Sousa, Inova+ / ClubInov


The session objective is to empower innovative entrepreneurs (start-up or growing business) who start with an idea or a dream that they want to commercialize. We want to stimulate these entrepreneurs turn that idea into a successful business. The focus is not just on inventors and new concepts, but enabling economic growth, community development and private ownership. The session will focus on public and private mechanisms to support innovation in companies. The National and European funds for innovation (QREN, FP7, CIP, Eureka, other) are an opportunity to share the risks of innovation with governemts and increase the chances of success. Also, in the next 3 years the private financial network in Portugal will present several opportunities for innovative business. It will be presented a Portuguese private fund to invest seed capital in Portuguese start-ups.
